This month’s meeting was held on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Copper House Grill in Fairmont, WV. First Officer John Hawkins led the meeting. There were twenty people in attendance.
John asks for help this year with rides and helpers in general. He wants to see this chapter grow and has asked members to step forward with planning rides and ideas for our chapter.
A month-by-month ride calendar was voted on and approved by those in attendance. Rides will be decided at the meetings for the following month. This gives everyone ample time to plan for these events. If a ride is canceled, we will not plan a make-up day; we will simply move forward.
Harpers Ferry had been discussed in the rally committee; however, for various reasons, it doesn’t appear that this will be the location for this year’s rally. Other locations are being examined, and we will pass that information along as it becomes available. Some places being considered are Weston, Morgantown, Bluefield, Charlestown, and Granville.

I’ll close with a personal observation. It takes more than one or two members to make a group awesome. Every one of you adds a little something unique to this group. It’s that uniqueness, along with participation, that makes the 485 chapter great, it’s who we are.
